Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out more than 60 shelling attacks in the Sumy region, resulting in a tragedy: one man was killed and 14 others were wounded.
This information was provided by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform. Among the dead was a 66-year-old man in the Verkhnosyrovatska community. Two men, aged 35 and 39, were injured in the Sumy community, a 53-year-old woman in the Kyrykivka community, and five more people in the Trostyanets community. In addition, six more people from various communities in the region suffered acute stress reactions.
In total, from the morning of June 26 to the morning of June 27, Russian troops carried out more than 60 strikes on 26 settlements in 20 territorial communities, using mortars, artillery, FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, and guided aerial bombs.
As a result of these attacks, private homes, apartment buildings, farm buildings, administrative buildings, vehicles, civilian infrastructure, and a church were damaged.
Thirty-four people were evacuated from border communities in the Sumy region.
As reported by Ukrinform, ten people were injured as a result of a massive drone attack on the Okhtyrka district of Sumy Oblast.
