As of June 23, adverse weather conditions had caused power outages in 160 communities across four regions of Ukraine. This was caused by rain and strong winds, which damaged power lines in the Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Repair crews from regional power companies are already working to restore the damage. At the same time, as a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, new power outages have been reported in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. Repair work is being carried out where safety conditions permit.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, electricity consumption exceeded the previous day’s figures by 3.5%. The main reason for this increase is the hot weather, which is prompting consumers to use air conditioners extensively.
Ukrenergo advises postponing the use of high-power electrical appliances to the period between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently.
As previously reported, no electricity consumption restrictions are planned for June 23.
