Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov may meet with U.S. Senator Marco Rubio during the UN General Assembly session in New York on September 21–22.
According to Zakharova, Lavrov and Rubio will discuss issues related to the war in Ukraine, which will be one of the key topics of international negotiations. Rubio has previously expressed the view that it would be in Russia’s interest to end the conflict.
