Drone Attack on Konotop: 14-Year-Old Girl Wounded

On the night of Sunday, September 20, Russian forces launched a kamikaze drone attack on the city of Konotop in the Sumy region. According to Mayor Artem Semenikhin, a 14-year-old girl was injured in the attack and taken to a medical facility; doctors assured that her life is not in danger.

In addition, according to an article by Igor Smiliansky, Director General of “Ukrposhta,” it was reported that Russian troops struck a vehicle belonging to the postal operator, which was delivering medicines, pensions, and food to residents of the region. As a result of the attack, the employees sustained serious injuries, and doctors in Trostyanets and Sumy fought to save their lives. Currently, medical professionals report a positive prognosis for the victims’ condition.

Two days ago, a tragedy occurred as a result of a massive attack by Russian forces using guided bombs on the city of Sumy. One of the bombs struck a high-rise building, killing two employees of the Sumy City Council. It was also reported that ten people were injured, including three children.

Local residents continue to note an increase in danger due to regular shelling. As a result of Ukrainian military operations, the situation on the front lines remains tense, and concerns are growing among the population regarding the possibility of a large-scale offensive by Russian forces.

In response to the attacks, Ukrainian forces continue to actively work to defend the territory, countering threats from the aggressor. There remains hope for a swift restoration of peace in the region.
