Cold Snap in Ukraine: Rain and Lower Temperatures Expected Starting September 21

On Monday, September 21, a cold snap is expected in Ukraine, accompanied by moderate rain across most of the country, with heavy precipitation in some areas of the northern and central regions, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Forecaster Natalia Didenko reported that a cold front is approaching Ukraine, bringing lower temperatures, fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, and gusty winds. On Monday, temperatures in the western and northern regions, as well as in many central regions, will drop to +15 to +18°.

In the southern and eastern regions, as well as in the Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions, high temperatures will persist for now, reaching +20 to +27°. However, a cold snap will be felt there as early as September 22.

In Kyiv, according to Didenko, the lovely fall weather will give way to rain and cold. Temperatures will drop to +15 degrees, and gusty winds will blow from the northwest. Rainfall on Monday could be heavy.

As the meteorologist noted, precipitation will ease on September 22, but more heavy rain is expected as early as September 23. The cold spell will last throughout the week, but starting September 26, temperatures in Ukraine will begin to rise again.
