Commander of the Security Forces: Russia’s quick capture of Donbas is unrealistic

The Russian Federation’s plans for a rapid takeover of eastern Donbas appear to be out of touch with reality. Ukrainian drone forces are playing a key role in thwarting these ambitions.

In an interview with the BBC, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi stated: “This is completely unrealistic. It’s absurd,” commenting on Putin’s possible intentions. According to British journalists, it is precisely these unmanned systems that are crucial to preventing Russia from carrying out its plans to seize eastern Donbas.

Brovdi also believes that Putin cannot halt military operations due to the significant risks of defeat. “If we don’t stop them, they will stop us. That’s obvious,” he emphasized.

The SBS commander also expressed hope that heavy losses among Russian troops and fires in the rear would lead to internal unrest in Russia.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that Putin will not stop at Donbas and may attempt to capture other cities, including Kharkiv.

On the other hand, in his interview with India Today, Putin asserted that Russia will establish control over Donbas in any case, whether by military means or otherwise.
