Iran’s reaction
At the same time, Iran reacted cautiously to the U.S. statements. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai noted that reports of an agreement are merely speculation.
Baghai emphasized that Qatar and Pakistan continue to act as mediators in the negotiations, which are being complicated by shifts in the U.S. position. Although a significant portion of the agreement’s text has been agreed upon, Iran will not back down from its key demands.
