A fire broke out at an oil depot in the Krasnodar Region following a drone attack

On the night of June 16, a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation following a drone attack. The incident occurred in the village of Poltavskaya in the Krasnoarmeysky District, where debris from a drone caused a fire.

According to the operational headquarters, there were no casualties. Thirty-two people and seven pieces of equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire. It is known that the Poltavskaya oil depot receives products from oil refineries, including Lukoil facilities, and distributes them through a network of gas stations in the Krasnodar Krai and Adygea.

The village of Poltavskaya itself is located 80 km west of Krasnodar, and about 385 km from the front line. The TMT news outlet reports that, as in Crimea, there has been a gasoline shortage in the region since early June. More than 500 gas stations have run out of fuel, which they purchase in small wholesale quantities without long-term contracts with suppliers.

More than 25 regions in Russia have faced fuel shortages. According to the ASTRA Telegram channel, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, from 8:00 p.m. on Monday to 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Russian air defense forces shot down 172 drones over various regions of the Russian Federation and Crimea. Attacks were recorded over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Oryol, Tambov, Tula, and Rostov regions.
