Ukraine has no intention of yielding to the pressure of Russian attacks and will continue to step up strikes on Russian territory. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that it is unacceptable to tolerate constant attacks from Russia, promising to respond with decisive action. Over the course of several years of full-scale war, Ukraine has managed to develop a significant number of drones and missiles that allow it to effectively counter Russian strikes. “We have been learning, analyzing, and manufacturing. During this time, we have created many different drones and missiles. Although we do not yet have ballistic missiles, we are already close to that,” Zelenskyy noted.
The president emphasized that Ukraine will not silently tolerate aggression and will continue to strengthen its positions. “This is our way of responding to aggression and showing that we are not going to just die in silence. We will grow stronger with each passing day,” Zelenskyy stated.
Zelenskyy is also convinced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has lost the opportunity to end the war on terms favorable to him by refusing to participate in another round of peace talks. At the same time, he expressed his willingness to freeze hostilities along the current front line if this would allow for the start of genuine diplomatic negotiations.
When asked whether this would be considered a victory for Putin due to his continued control over part of the occupied territories, Zelenskyy replied: “No, no. Freezing the situation and staying where we are means giving the people of Ukraine more opportunities to save their children and return to their homes.”
