On the night of June 27, Ukrainian “Flamingo” missiles struck the “Titan-Barikady” facility in Volgograd, Russia. This report came from RBC-Ukraine, citing a Telegram post by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
A successful strike on a key target
Zelenskyy noted: “Every Russian defense facility operating against Ukraine is a legitimate target for our long-range strikes. Last night, FP-5 ‘Flamingo’ missiles successfully struck the ‘Titan-Barikady’ plant in Volgograd.”
It is reported that the strike caused a fire on the factory grounds. “Titan-Barikady” is a large industrial complex that manufactures artillery systems and specialized military equipment, including components for missile launchers.
Expansion of Sanctions Geography
Zelenskyy emphasized: “The scope of Ukraine’s long-range sanctions is constantly expanding. Our pressure lays the foundation for achieving a just peace. I thank every Ukrainian engineer and soldier who ensures our long-range capabilities.”
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defense forces also struck enemy command posts in the area of Lyman-Pershyi in the Kharkiv region and Leninsky in the Belgorod region, as well as two UAV command posts in Lugove and Kamensk in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Other strikes on Russian targets
As a reminder, last night, drones from the Security Service of Ukraine struck the “Vtorovo” oil pumping station in the Vladimir Oblast of the Russian Federation—which supplies fuel to Moscow—for the second time this month.
