Clashes on the front lines: The Huliaipole sector remains the hottest spot

Over the past 24 hours, there have been 241 combat engagements on the front lines between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders. The situation remains most tense in the Huliaipole sector.

Operational Update

According to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook, as of 8:00 a.m. on June 28, the enemy launched one missile strike using four missiles, as well as carrying out 88 airstrikes and dropping 277 guided bombs.

In addition, Russian forces deployed 9,873 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,773 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 36 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces

The Ukrainian Defense Forces’ air force, missile forces, and artillery struck ten areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, eight UAV command posts, an ammunition depot, and one command post.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, 11 combat engagements with Russian troops were recorded. The aggressor carried out 84 attacks on Ukrainian positions, including three using MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces 15 times near Karaichne, Zybine, Lyman, and other settlements.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched three attacks toward Novoplatonivka. In the Lyman sector, the occupiers attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 16 times.
