On the night of June 28, Kyiv came under attack from Russia using ballistic missiles, resulting in one casualty. This information was confirmed by the Ukrainian Air Force and the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. on June 27, the enemy launched an attack on Ukraine, using two Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles from the Kursk region, six Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from the Bryansk region, as well as 142 Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas strike drones and “Parody” decoy drones from the following locations: Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), Donetsk, and Gvardeyskoye (Crimea).
The enemy’s attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 08:30, preliminary data indicate that air defense forces shot down or intercepted one Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missile, six Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, as well as 125 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other types in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Missile strikes and 14 attack drones were recorded at 11 locations, and debris was found at 13 sites. According to Vitali Klitschko, one person was injured in the capital as a result of the nighttime attack and was hospitalized.
As a reminder, on the night of June 28, the Russian occupation forces launched an attack on Kyiv using ballistic missiles, which was accompanied by explosions in the capital.
