A grand wedding took place in France for Nika Lomiya, a former "Miss Ukraine" contestant and native of Kharkiv. Her husband is a Kyiv-based IT entrepreneur and owner of a casino gaming company.
According to RBC-Ukraine, the celebration took place in Cannes and lasted two days. A luxurious 1919 mansion with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea was chosen for the ceremony.
Guests from various countries, including Ukraine, Georgia, and Russia, gathered at the wedding. The celebration impressed not only with its location but also with the scale of the program and the star-studded guest list.
Comedian Maxim Galkin served as the host of the event, not only running contests but also singing for the audience. Although the event was conducted in Russian, Galkin occasionally switched to Ukrainian and performed popular Ukrainian songs, such as Ivo Bobul’s “Rozmova z toboju” and “Oy, smereko.”
One of the main musical guests was Valery Meladze. Both the guests and the bride sang along to his hits. However, the performance that drew the most attention was that of global superstar Ricky Martin, whose fee, according to unofficial reports, may have exceeded one million dollars.
Galkin’s appearance cost about $130,000, and Meladze received an even larger sum. On social media, the newlyweds and guests actively shared photos from the celebration, which is already being called the “wedding of the year.”
