Google has announced a major update to the Google TV platform that will make watching short vertical videos even more convenient. Starting this summer, a dedicated "Short Videos for You" feed will appear on the home screen of Google TV devices.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Google’s blog.
Short videos have become a daily habit for millions of users, so Google decided to feature this content on the home page. The "Short videos for you" feed will offer a personalized feed starting with YouTube Shorts.
Although the first users in the U.S. will receive the update, the presentation format hints at future integration with other services, such as TikTok.
Gemini Tools: Nano Banana and Veo
Thanks to the new Gemini tab, the TV becomes a tool for entertainment and creativity. What’s available:
- Image generation (Nano Banana): Users can create fun images using voice commands, such as “dress Dad in a funny outfit” in a family photo or transport themselves to another city.
- Video Creation (Veo): The model allows you to generate custom videos from scratch or add motion to existing photos. Now you can literally bring any fantasy to life on the big screen.
