The Crimean Bridge has become the target of a massive drone attack. Amid reports of Russian air defense activity, record-breaking traffic jams have formed in front of the bridge—about 2,800 cars are waiting to cross. This was reported by Glavkom, citing local Telegram channels.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, which cites the Russian Ministry of Defense, this was the largest attack by Ukrainian drones in the past year. Russian media claim that the drones attacked the area around the Crimean Bridge, and air defense forces in the region have been activated. This has led to an increase in the number of vehicles waiting to cross into Russia.
On the Kerch side, about 1,800 vehicles are waiting in line for manual inspection, with wait times exceeding five hours. Another 1,000 vehicles are waiting in line from the Taman side, where drivers have to wait more than three hours. There is no information yet on damage to the Crimean Bridge or the consequences of the attack, and Russian authorities have not commented on these events.
As a reminder, on the night of June 26, Russian Telegram channels and local media reported explosions near Kerch and the ferry crossing, as well as Russian air defense activity over the temporarily occupied Crimea.
In recent days, the occupied Crimea has experienced power outages, fuel shortages, and logistical problems. Rolling blackouts have been implemented on the peninsula, and the occupying authorities have announced restrictions on public transportation and social services.
