Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk agreed on new measures to enhance cooperation between the government and parliament.
Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on his Telegram channel, according to Ukrinform.
Regular Meetings and Coordination
The government will introduce regular meetings with the leaders of parliamentary factions and groups to strengthen coordination between committees and ministries.
Resumption of the Coalition Council
In addition, the Coalition Council will resume its work, which will help improve the quality of draft laws and ensure effective interaction between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada. An analysis of international obligations will also be conducted to align them with parliamentary processes.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to review the transitional provisions of laws containing instructions from the Cabinet of Ministers.
Legislative Priorities
The preparation of the Government’s Action Program was discussed. The main priorities identified are support for the Armed Forces, Ukraine’s integration into the EU, and the development of social policy.
Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that effective cooperation between Parliament and the government is key to a strong state. According to him, they agreed on the priorities for their joint work and the importance of prompt communication during the preparation and adoption of legislative decisions.
