On the morning of May 12, railway infrastructure facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region came under attack from Russia, resulting in the injury of a train engineer. This was reported by “Glavkom,” citing the Minister of Community and Territorial Development.
“A warning of the danger was issued in advance by the monitoring team. However, debris struck the train driver as he was heading to a shelter. He is currently receiving all necessary medical care, and his life is not in danger,” the statement said.
It is reported that locomotives and rolling stock were damaged as a result of the UAV strikes. “Train traffic in the region is being restored promptly. Railway workers are continuing their work, ensuring connections with Dnipro and other regions of the country,” Kuleba added.
As a reminder, Russian forces also attacked Dnipro, causing a fire and damaging transportation infrastructure.
On the night of May 12, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with drones. Debris from one of them fell onto the roof of a 16-story building in the Obolon district, causing a fire that residents were able to extinguish. Residential buildings and educational institutions in the Kyiv region were also targeted.
In addition, on the evening of May 11 in Kharkiv, an enemy drone was reported to have struck the Shevchenkivskyi district, where it hit the roof of a high-rise building.
