Zelenskyy spoke about strikes on oil depots in four Russian regions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the Ukrainian military carried out strikes on oil infrastructure facilities in several regions of Russia as part of the “long-range sanctions” plan.

He announced this on his Facebook page, according to Ukrinform.

Targets Hit

Zelenskyy noted that personnel from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck two oil depots in Stavropol and Tver, located approximately 500 kilometers from the front line. In addition, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a reserve fuel storage facility located 800 kilometers from the front.

Impact on Oil Transfer Stations

In Ufa, nearly 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, sanctions were also imposed on an oil pumping station. In the Rostov region, approximately 200 kilometers from the front line, an oil loading terminal was struck.

The president emphasized that these actions are a response to the protracted war and Russian attacks, stressing that Ukraine has long called on Russia to end the war. “Every day that the war drags on should bring the reality of war back to where it all began—in Russia,” Zelenskyy said.

As a reminder, on June 25, Zelenskyy approved a 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine to exert pressure on Russia with the aim of ending the war.
