Medical workers are raising funds for a new SUV for the front lines

One of the medical battalions that rescues soldiers on the front lines urgently needs a compact off-road vehicle to effectively coordinate and evacuate wounded defenders. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.

Reliable Transportation for Medical Personnel

The chief of staff of this unit, a surgeon with the call sign “Gora” (Oleksiy), has been saving soldiers at stabilization points and in frontline hospitals since February 2022. Currently, his responsibilities also include logistics and coordinating the battalion’s operations.

Mobility on the front lines is critically important. The current vehicle is too large, attracting the attention of enemy drones, and its high fuel consumption (over 20 liters per 100 km) creates logistical challenges in frontline conditions.

Which car was chosen to save lives?

The medical team chose the Suzuki Jimny as the ideal option for combat conditions:

  • Compact size: less visible to the enemy.
  • Off-road capability: It navigates rough terrain where other cars get stuck.
  • Cost-effectiveness: significant savings on fuel and maintenance.

The fundraising goal is 500,000 hryvnias. The fundraiser was initiated by Oleksiy’s wife, Natalia, and is officially registered with the State Registry.
