Ukrainians are divided in their support for the US and Iran in the conflict

According to a poll conducted by KIIS, Ukrainians are divided on whether to support the conflict in the Middle East. Although the majority of respondents do not support either side, support for the United States and Israel was slightly higher than for Iran.

The survey data show that 65% of Ukrainians do not support either side of the conflict. At the same time, 22% expressed support for the U.S. and Israel, while 7% sided with Iran. Another 7% of respondents were unable to answer or were unaware of the conflict.

It is interesting to note that support for the U.S. and Israel is more common among better-educated respondents, although even in this group, 61% remain neutral.

Survey Methodology

The survey was conducted via telephone interviews using a random sample of mobile phone numbers across Ukraine. Only adult citizens of Ukraine participated, with the exception of residents of temporarily uncontrolled territories.
