U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States has significant stockpiles of ammunition. He added that those spreading false information are being actively sought out.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump emphasized that the country has particularly large stockpiles of certain types of ammunition. “In addition, if necessary, large quantities of ammunition can be quickly produced and delivered to the U.S.,” he noted. The president also reported that defense contractors are actively building new factories.
Trump stressed that “leaks” spreading “treasonous statements” will be held accountable. “Long prison terms will be required!” he emphasized.
As previously reported, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagseth denied reports of an ammunition shortage in the military. According to The Washington Post, Trump demanded an explanation from Hagseth regarding a possible shortage that could have limited U.S. military capabilities in a conflict with Iran.
