The group stage of the Spartakiad field hockey competition began on August 6 and is scheduled to end on August 12.
Meanwhile, it has come to light that rower David Nedotopa from the occupied town of Oleshky (Kherson Oblast), who has moved to Germany, is spreading Russian propaganda on Instagram. He was outraged by the actions of Ukrainian canoeist Yelyzaveta Voznyuk, who won a silver medal at the European Junior Championships on July 26. During the awards ceremony, she refused to shake hands or take a group photo with the representative from Belarus. A video of the incident was posted on the “Rowing Ukraine” and UkrSportBase Instagram pages. This prompted a negative reaction from Nedotopa, who left comments resembling Russian propaganda.
