On the night of June 2, during a massive attack on the city of Dnipro, the deputy chief of the fire and rescue unit, Major Anton Yarmolenko, was killed. The State Emergency Service reported his death.
Tragic death in the line of duty
Major Anton Yarmolenko, known for his dedication, was killed during a second round of shelling of the city as he was rushing to a call to address the aftermath of previous strikes. Unfortunately, the injuries he sustained proved fatal.
The State Emergency Service expressed its deepest condolences to the family and colleagues of the fallen officer, who sacrificed his life to save others.
Attack on Dnipro
That same night, the Russian army launched brutal strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing significant destruction in the regional capital. The occupiers employed a tactic of repeated strikes, resulting in numerous casualties.
As of 9:40 a.m., a young boy had died as a result of the attack; rescuers had pulled him from the rubble of a destroyed building. In total, nine people, including the child, lost their lives in this tragedy.
