A large-scale attack damaged a DTEK production site and energy facilities in the capital.
"In the Svyatoshynskyi, Obolonskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv, 140,000 consumers were temporarily left without power. Currently, power has been restored to 110,000 households and critical infrastructure," the statement said.
Utility workers continue to work on restoring power to another 30,000 customers in Kyiv.
As reported, as of 9:00 a.m. on June 2, the number of casualties rose to 65 people, with four fatalities, as a result of a massive attack.
Air defense response
Air defense forces have intercepted 40 missiles and 602 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine since the evening of June 1.
