The dollar and the euro are falling: current exchange rates as of early May

In early May, the Ukrainian hryvnia strengthened, leading to a decline in the exchange rates of the dollar and the euro. The sharpest drop was observed at Monobank and Oschadbank, where the currencies lost 15–17 kopecks in value.

Exchange Rates at Currency Exchanges

As of the morning of May 1, the average dollar exchange rate at currency exchange offices for buying, according to the Ministry of Finance, is 43.80 UAH (-10 kopecks). You can sell currency for 43.70 UAH (-10 kopecks).

Banks and special offers

  • Monobank: The dollar rate fell by 17 kopecks to 44.23 UAH, and the euro by 16 kopecks to 51.81 UAH.
  • Oschadbank: Favorable rates in the mobile app—the dollar at 44.15 UAH, the euro at 51.80 UAH.
  • PrivatBank: At branches, the dollar can be purchased for 44.20 UAH, and the euro for 51.80 UAH.
  • FUIB: The commercial dollar rate has been lowered to 44.10 UAH, while the cash rate at teller windows is 44.30 UAH.

Tip for buyers: If you plan to buy currency today, consider non-cash transactions via mobile apps (Oschadbank, PUMB) or exchange rates at major currency exchange chains, where the price is 10–15 kopecks more favorable than at most bank teller windows.
