The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) has updated its rankings as of March 30. Elina Svitolina, Ukraine's top-ranked player, moved up one spot to 7th in the world rankings, according to Ukrinform.
Other Ukrainian tennis players also posted significant results. Marta Kostyuk moved up one spot to 27th, while Dayana Yastremska jumped five spots and now ranks 49th. Oleksandra Oliinykova dropped five spots to 71st place, while Yulia Starodubtseva climbed 14 spots to 89th place. Daria Snigur entered the top 100 for the first time in her career, reaching 93rd place after climbing 17 spots.
In the second hundred of the rankings, Angelina Kalinina is ranked 119th, having climbed eight spots.
As a reminder, the WTA rankings are led by Aryna Sabalenka, who is competing as a "neutral" player. Second place is held by Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, and third by American Cori Gauff, who overtook Poland’s Iga Świątek.
