The meeting addressed coordination issues related to an independent assessment of the risks and condition of critical energy infrastructure. It was decided to develop additional measures aimed at strengthening nuclear safety in Ukraine.
Shmyhal expressed his gratitude to the IAEA for its ongoing support of Ukraine, the work of experts at Ukrainian energy facilities, and initiatives that support Ukrainian nuclear workers and their families.
Earlier, it was reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had completed its eighth mission to monitor key substations of the National Energy Company “Ukrenergo.” These substations provide power to nuclear power plants and transmit electricity to Ukraine’s Unified Power System.
