On September 30, the Russian army carried out a massive airstrike on Sumy, dropping six guided bombs on the Kovpakivsky District and the Pishchansky Starosty in the Sumy community.
According to preliminary reports, six people were injured as a result of the attack, as reported by Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration.
The attack caused significant damage: an industrial facility, private homes, and urban infrastructure were damaged, and power outages have been reported in parts of the city.
The day before, on September 29, Russian troops also dropped aerial bombs on a school where first- through fourth-grade students were present, as well as on a cemetery and a residential area, killing a man and a woman.
In addition, nine residents were injured as a result of these attacks. The Russian military is attempting to expand its zone of control in border areas, particularly in the villages of Myropilsk and Hrabovsk.
At the same time, DeepState analysts and military officials assure that there is currently no threat of Sumy being surrounded.
