TV host Lesya Nikityuk was in a shelter with her son during the nighttime attack. She posted a photo of herself sitting next to a baby stroller and asked Ukrainians on Instagram in the morning if they had already left their shelters.

Maria Efrosinina also spent the night in a shelter, showing herself sleeping with her son in the subway. “The contrasts of life we didn’t ask for—it’s scary to turn on the news,” the TV host noted.
