As a result of attacks on energy infrastructure, new power outages have occurred in five regions of Ukraine. These incidents were caused by drone attacks and artillery shelling in frontline areas.
According to NPC "Ukrenergo" on its Facebook page, power outages have been reported in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions. Where safety conditions permit, emergency repair work has already begun. Energy specialists are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers.
Due to previous massive attacks by Russia, power restriction schedules for industry and hourly blackouts for all consumer categories will be in effect today from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM in all regions of Ukraine.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Monday, electricity consumption had decreased by 1.4% compared to the previous business day. This is due to clear weather, which facilitates the efficient operation of residential solar power plants and reduces dependence on the main grid.
Yesterday, March 22, peak electricity consumption was recorded in the evening at the same level as the previous Sunday, March 15.
Ukrenergo urges Ukrainians to use electricity rationally and shift peak consumption to the period when solar power plants operate most efficiently—from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
