NATO Secretary General’s visit to Kyiv

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has arrived in Kyiv on an official visit. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, citing the publication Glavkom.

Photos released show Mark Rutte being greeted by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga. Details of the visit’s itinerary have not yet been disclosed.

“Today, at the Kyiv train station, we warmly welcome NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. This visit is an important demonstration of solidarity and support from the Alliance,” the statement reads.

It should be noted that Mark Rutte last visited Kyiv in February 2026. At that time, he joined Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian defenders. He also addressed the Verkhovna Rada, assuring continued NATO support for Ukraine in the military sphere and air defense.

In addition, a joint press conference was held with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which current issues of international security and Ukraine’s needs were discussed.
