Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced on the social media platform X that a European delegation led by Kaja Kallas is visiting Kyiv. The visit marks the anniversary of the tragedy in Bucha, which occurred at the start of the full-scale invasion.
Sybiga emphasized that such a significant European presence demonstrates the inevitability of justice regarding Russia’s crimes. “It is important to ensure full accountability for Russian crimes to restore justice in Europe. We will continue our efforts to hold them accountable,” he noted.
He also noted that these days mark four years since the liberation of the Kyiv region and other territories occupied by Russia in 2022. He highlighted the heroism of Ukrainian defenders.
“Ukraine knows how to win. This visit is a symbol of true courage and solidarity with Ukraine. I am grateful to Kaja Kallas and my European colleagues who came to Ukraine today,” Sibiga added.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported that Kaja Kallas believes that ending the war in Ukraine requires concessions from Russia and joint pressure on the Russian Federation from the U.S. and Europe.
