The American film studio Amazon MGM has acquired the rights to the new action film *The Kellys*. The film stars renowned Hollywood actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Liam Hemsworth.
According to Ukrinform, citing Deadline, the film will be available on the Prime Video platform. Directed by Brad Peyton, the film tells the story of New York police officer Jack Kelly, who is forced to team up with his family to rescue his wife, who has been taken hostage by terrorists.
Peyton, known for his work on Netflix and films starring Dwayne Johnson, co-wrote the screenplay with Jie Zhong. Filming has already begun.
Interestingly, "Kelly" isn't Schwarzenegger's first collaboration with Amazon MGM. He previously agreed to play Santa in their Christmas movie "The Man with the Bag," directed by Adam Shankman.
It is worth noting that Schwarzenegger and Hemsworth previously starred together in the 2012 film “The Expendables 2.”
Ukrinform also reports that Netflix is working on a sequel to the sci-fi action film “War Machine.”
