Ukrainian parishioners from the city of Avellino undertook a meaningful spiritual journey to Perugia and Assisi to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
The pilgrimage, organized under the leadership of Fr. Mykola Chaplyuk from the Church of Saints Volodymyr and Olha, began in Perugia. There, at the Parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated, with the primary intention being peace in Ukraine and the safety of its people. Participants were able to go to confession and receive spiritual guidance.
