Ukrainian air defense forces successfully shot down 150 of the 164 drones used by the Russian military in its attack on Ukraine on the evening of March 29.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force shared this information on its Telegram channel.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. on March 29, the aggressor attacked Ukrainian territory by launching an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as 164 strike drones of various types, including Shahed, "Gerbera," and "Italmas," from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda and Gvardeyskoye in Crimea. Among them were about 90 Shahed drones.
The attack was repelled with the help of aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 8:30 a.m. on March 30, according to preliminary data, air defense forces destroyed or neutralized 150 enemy drones.
A ballistic missile and 12 strike drones were confirmed to have hit seven targets, and debris from downed targets was found at two other locations.
The attack is ongoing, the Air Force warns, with several enemy drones still in the airspace.
As reported by Ukrinform, an air raid alert was declared across Ukraine on the night of and morning of March 30 due to the takeoff of a MiG-31K fighter jet in Russia.
