Iranian assets will remain frozen until Tehran agrees to a lasting ceasefire between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Only then, according to U.S. President Donald Trump, can negotiations begin.
This information was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Al Jazeera.
Donald Trump stated that the unfreezing of Iranian assets is possible only after an agreement is reached.

“If they behave well and do their job, we will begin negotiations,” the U.S. president emphasized.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that any agreement will depend on at least a partial unfreezing of their frozen assets, due to widespread distrust of negotiations with the U.S.
How much of Iran’s money is frozen?
Due to sanctions imposed by the U.S. and other countries, over $100 billion in Iranian funds are frozen in bank accounts around the world. Under the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran was supposed to gain gradual access to these funds in exchange for scaling back its nuclear program. However, Trump unilaterally withdrew from the deal in 2018.
According to Iranian state media, Iran is currently demanding the release of between $12 billion and $24 billion.
