The World Ukrainian Summit concluded on June 7 in Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Held as part of the Year of Global Ukrainian Unity, the summit brought together over 350 delegates and guests from more than 50 countries around the world. The aim of the event was to strengthen international support for Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this large-scale international forum was organized by the World Congress of Ukrainians (WCU) in cooperation with the Ukrainian Society in Switzerland and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The summit demonstrated the shared commitment of Ukrainians abroad to their homeland, their people, and the future of the nation.
In the final document, the Summit participants expressed their deep respect for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, security forces, emergency response services, and all those who defend the country every day, risking their own lives. The delegates reaffirmed their readiness to remain united in supporting the struggle for Ukraine’s freedom and declared their commitment to democratic development, a European future, the rule of law, and human freedom and dignity.
At a time when Ukraine is confronting Russian aggression while defending freedom and international principles, the unity of the global Ukrainian community takes on special significance. The summit reaffirms the shared priorities of Ukrainians around the world.
