The morning of July 6 brought good news for the Ukrainian foreign exchange market: the hryvnia is showing significant strength, while the dollar and the euro are losing ground. After some fluctuations in the exchange rate, the dollar has become more affordable, and the euro continues to gradually depreciate.
Key Changes in the Foreign Exchange Market
The hryvnia started the day with a noticeable decline in the dollar and euro exchange rates at both banks and currency exchange offices. At currency exchange offices, the dollar fell by an average of 8–9 kopecks, and the euro by 5–10 kopecks, depending on the transaction.
Exchange Rates at Banks
Most major financial institutions, such as PrivatBank, Oschadbank, and Monobank, have lowered their rates in response to general market trends. The lowest dollar buying rates today are offered by Oschadbank (44.80 UAH) and Monobank/PrivatBank (44.84–44.85 UAH).
Changes over time
Compared to previous figures, most banks have adjusted their rates downward by 15–30 kopecks. According to the Minfin portal, the average dollar exchange rate as of the morning of July 6 is 44.66 hryvnia for buying, which is 9 kopecks lower than on Friday morning. The euro can be purchased at currency exchange offices today for 51.40 UAH.
