The head of the Transcarpathian Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has been suspended amid allegations of human rights violations and corruption risks.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, on Telegram.
According to Lubinets, his office has repeatedly documented potential violations in the activities of the Transcarpathian Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support’s leadership. These issues were reported publicly and through official appeals.
However, instead of resolving the issues, the ombudsman said, attempts were made to counter those who brought them to light. Lubinets also pointed to attempts to cover up the facts, exert informational pressure, and initiate criminal cases against his staff.
Lubinec emphasized that the problem is not limited to a single official. Insufficient oversight of systemic violations can create a sense of impunity. “This is not just a matter of personnel changes. Why did this situation become possible in the first place? This is not the result of a single day or the actions of a single person,” Lubinets stated.
He also mentioned the former leadership of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, which, in his opinion, should have responded earlier to problems within the TCC system.
