Swiss tennis player Roger Federer has unexpectedly lost his billionaire status, according to “Glavkom,” citing Forbes. The main reason for the decline in his net worth was a drop in the value of shares in the sports brand On, of which Federer is a co-owner.
On Tuesday, August 11, On Holdings’ stock fell by 19%. Federer owns approximately 2.5% of the company, which manufactures athletic footwear and apparel. In the second quarter of 2026, On’s net sales totaled about 850 million Swiss francs, which is 13% more than in the previous quarter but still 28 million francs less than projected.
Due to the missed financial forecasts, the former world No. 1 tennis player’s net worth dropped by more than $52 million in a single day, bringing his net worth down to $952.4 million—below the billion-dollar mark.
Over his outstanding 24-year career, Federer has won 103 titles, including 20 Grand Slam victories. He held the world No. 1 ranking for 237 consecutive weeks from 2004 to 2008.
