On July 11, the third “EtnoVir na Vyspi” ethnic festival will take place in the picturesque village of Romaniv in the Zhytomyr region.
The event organizers announced on Facebook that this year’s festival will take place on Vyspa Island and in Taras Shevchenko Park in Romaniv, where participants will bring the ancient traditions of Volhynia to life under the open sky.
The event’s program includes performances by folk ensembles and artists, workshops on traditional crafts, exhibitions of folk art, food courts featuring Ukrainian dishes, as well as contests and competitions.
A special feature of the festival will be the creation of the “Family Tree” art installation. Anyone who wishes to do so will be able to attach a leaf bearing the name of their family to the tree, thereby honoring family traditions.
The festival aims to promote Ukrainian culture, culinary tourism, eco-tourism, and Cossack festivities, as well as to support youth initiatives and raise funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
