Counterfeit money bearing QR codes, which Russian forces dropped from drones, has been discovered in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
This was reported by Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, on his Facebook page, according to Ukrinform. According to him, the counterfeit bills bearing hostile messages were found in two districts of the Sumy region. The QR codes on them lead to hostile websites.
The discovered bills have been seized for examination.
"The Russians systematically use drones not only for attacks but also for dropping suspicious objects. This is yet another attempt at provocation. Stay vigilant. If you find such objects, immediately notify the police or the State Emergency Service," Grigorov emphasized.
The Koryukivka District State Administration in Chernihiv Oblast reported on Telegram that in Snovsk, an enemy drone scattered leaflets shaped like banknotes with QR codes. They also urged people not to touch or scan them.
Ukrinform also reports that Russian propaganda is attempting to disrupt the evacuation of Ukraine’s civilian population, particularly children, from frontline areas by discrediting the “White Angel” evacuation units.
