Russia’s spring-summer offensive campaign has entered an active phase

The Russian army has already launched the active phase of its spring-summer offensive campaign, and no further escalation is expected. This was reported by Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Operation, during a live broadcast, according to Ukrinform.

Features of the current campaign

According to Tregubov, Russian forces are already in action, and the campaign is in the active offensive phase. No further escalation is expected, as it has already reached its peak. The question now is when these resources will be exhausted and whether they will be able to regroup for further operations in the summer. At the moment, the focus is on expending resources rather than accumulating them.

Use of Equipment on the Front Lines

Tregubov noted that Russian troops rarely use armored vehicles due to their low effectiveness. Attempts to increase tank protection are not paying off, as this only increases the number of drones needed to take them out. Thus, armored vehicles are used sparingly, and motorized vehicles are deployed only in small numbers.

At the same time, there is a high concentration of various types of UAVs on the front lines. A large number of new missile systems are expected to appear soon. Warm and dry weather facilitates the increased use of drones to strike enemy forces.

As reported, over the past 24 hours, on May 6, Ukrainian defense forces recorded 157 combat engagements with Russian invaders.
