The Russian Federation has stepped up its efforts to justify its aggression against European countries, attempting to draw Asian nations into a hybrid conflict with the West.

Threats to Europe and statements about an "Asian NATO"
As noted by the Center for Countering Disinformation, during hearings on Eurasian security, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the U.S. of creating an “Asian NATO.”
The Russian minister also issued open threats to European leaders, claiming that the West is allegedly forming an “attack group against Russia.” "Armed conflict with Russia has always ended badly for Europe," Lavrov warned, emphasizing that the war must result in the elimination of threats from the West for the long term.
The goal of the Kremlin’s manipulations
The Center explains that such statements are an attempt to conceptually reframe the war of aggression against Ukraine, presenting it as the first stage of “building a new world order.” The Kremlin is trying to sow fear among European elites to force them to abandon their support for Kyiv.
At the same time, Moscow is manipulating the fears of Asian countries by pushing the idea that only Russia can protect them from the West’s supposedly destructive actions.
The Russian leadership’s main goal is to create the illusion of a global coalition in order to blur its own responsibility for violating international law and to gain additional support.
