Petro Poroshenko gave his wife securities worth a billion

Former Ukrainian President and Member of Parliament Petro Poroshenko submitted his 2025 electronic declaration, in which he listed a substantial gift for his wife, Maryna. According to Glavkom, citing the declaration registry, the gift consists of securities valued at 988.71 million hryvnias.

Over the past year, Petro Poroshenko received substantial income. The largest portion of his income came from Sequent Schweiz AG (formerly known as “Rothschild Trust”), which paid out UAH 824.3 million in dividends.

The politician’s bank accounts hold $33.8 million, 115,500 euros, and 421,600 UAH. He holds 389 million UAH, $61.5 million, 1.27 million euros, and 260,000 pounds sterling in cash. His wife, Marina Poroshenko, also has significant savings: 104 million UAH, $3.32 million, 2.75 million euros, and 570,000 pounds sterling.

The Poroshenkos own 27 companies, numerous securities and shares, as well as about a hundred items of valuable movable property.

As reported by Glavkom, in late March 2025, Marina Poroshenko filed a petition with the Kryzhopil District Court of Vinnytsia Oblast requesting the division of jointly acquired property valued at 17.1 billion UAH. She sought to secure the most valuable assets for herself, specifically the controlling stake in the closed-end, non-diversified corporate investment fund “Prime Assets Capital,” valued at 8.33 billion hryvnias. Petro Poroshenko has been the sole owner of this fund for nearly 20 years.
