On the morning of July 8, Russian strikes caused new power outages in six regions of Ukraine. In addition, 10 settlements in the Khmelnytskyi region remain without power due to severe weather.
According to a post by NPC “Ukrenergo” on its Facebook page, the enemy continues to strike civilian energy infrastructure. As a result, new power outages have been reported in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions. Emergency repair work is already underway wherever safety conditions permit.
In the Khmelnytskyi region, due to thunderstorms and strong winds, 10 settlements were completely or partially without power this morning. Regional power company crews are promptly repairing damage to power lines.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, electricity consumption exceeded the previous day’s level by 4.3%. This is due to cloudy weather, which reduces the efficiency of residential solar power plants.
Ukrenergo recommends using high-power electrical appliances between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently. As of July 8, no power outage schedules are planned in Ukraine.
