Missile Strike on Kyiv: Fires and Casualties

On the night of July 8, Ukraine’s capital came under yet another Russian missile attack, which caused fires in the Desniansky and Svyatoshinsky districts. This was reported by “Glavkom,” citing the State Emergency Service.

Casualties and Damage in the Svyatoshynsky District

In the Sviatoshynsky district, a fire broke out in an administrative building and storage facilities. Two people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized.

At another location, rescue workers extinguished a fire at a garage cooperative. An administrative building and trams were damaged by the shelling.

Situation in the Desnianskyi District

A fire in warehouse facilities was also reported in the Desnianskyi district; emergency services continue to work at the scene.

The State Emergency Service reports that all other fires have been contained, and efforts are underway to verify information about casualties and the injured.

Update: Unfortunately, the death of a woman as a result of the attack has been confirmed, and two people were injured, according to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
