Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Andriy Shkinder.
His life was tragically cut short on June 28, 2026. This was reported by “Glavkom,” citing the Lviv City Council.
Andriy Shkinder was born on June 3, 1993, in Rivne. He attended the Mlyniv Humanitarian Gymnasium in the Rivne region and later earned a degree in Computer Science from Lviv Polytechnic National University.
He began his career in IT at SoftServe Ukraine and later worked at well-known IT companies as a lead mobile developer.
His family remembers Andriy as a cheerful person with a wonderful sense of humor, kindness, and sincerity. He always sought to help others, loved to cook, was passionate about hiking and nature, and dreamed of conquering all of Ukraine’s mountain peaks.
In 2024, Andriy joined the ranks of those defending his homeland, fighting to protect Ukraine from Russian occupiers on various fronts. He served in the 419th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion of the “West” Operational Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, for which he was awarded the “Best Sergeant of Military Unit A5027” medal.
Andriy Shkinder was laid to rest on July 2, 2026. His dedication and love for his homeland will remain in our hearts forever.
