Yaroslav Grishin, co-founder of the drone manufacturer “General Chereshnya,” shared his thoughts on how Ukraine is ahead of Russia.
According to Grishin, Russia is trying to create counterparts to Ukrainian interceptor drones, but its efforts cannot match Ukraine’s successes. “They have certain developments, but they are inferior in quality, fewer in number, and most importantly—our operators are more creative, innovative, trained, and motivated. That’s why we’re definitely better in this area,” Grishin emphasized.
He also noted that an important strategic goal for Ukrainian R&D is to protect pickup trucks, tanks, and armored personnel carriers using domestically produced equipment. This will shift the balance of power and help attack enemy positions more effectively.
“We know the Russians are working on this, and so are we. We must win, because we need to radically change the situation on the front lines,” Grishin said.
He added that the cycle of “new technology—mass adoption—countermeasures” is now measured in months rather than years. “If we want to survive, we need to make superhuman efforts squared. There is simply no other way,” he explained.
Right now, the pace of these processes is truly lightning-fast, Grishin concluded.
