Member of Parliament Mariana Bezuhla reported that she had visited the front lines for the first time since the appointment of the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She noted that she sensed a “breath of fresh air” in the troops following the change in leadership. In particular, she observed changes in the soldiers’ morale and in decision-making approaches. Bezuhla wrote about this on her social media accounts, according to “Glavkom.”
The lawmaker noted that even during Oleksandr Syrskyi’s tenure, she continued to travel to combat zones, although the then-commander-in-chief did everything in his power to prevent it. Bezugla tried to avoid headquarters and worked directly at the positions of unmanned systems units and in frontline towns. She claims that in this way she obtained the necessary information about the situation on the front lines, especially regarding problems with the defense of Donetsk Oblast, which had previously been hushed up.
“It was a difficult yet candid period that left a lasting impression of cooperation and the search for truth,” the lawmaker emphasized.
After her visit to the front lines, Bezuhla noted that she sensed a change in the troops. “There’s a breath of fresh air in the troops now. Some of the repressed commanders whom I know and respect have returned from exile. In just one week, there’s been a noticeable shift in decision-making dynamics, and morale has risen. People have become less tense,” she said.
According to the lawmaker, one of the new priorities is to halt the advance of Russian troops toward Kramatorsk, where certain systemic changes are already taking place.
In addition, Bezuhla described the situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region, noting that the Ukrainian military is rapidly carrying out its assigned tasks.
